Damn that trigger happy zombie! In the scene where Rhodes is running down the hallway to escape the gun-wielding Bub, he takes a pretty convincing knock to the head. It turns out that Joe Pilato (Rhodes) actually did hit his head against the wall and the ensuing anger he felt is reflected in his performance.
"We're all collapsing. This whole fucking unit is collapsing. Everybody except you. I know you're strong, all right, so what? Stronger than me, stronger than everyone, so what? So fucking what? "
George A. Romero
The similarities between Romero and
Sisyphus are astounding. But in
Romero's case, he heaved a cart, and not a boulder in Day of the Dead.
The scene below follows immediately after Rhodes' death scene.
Mr. Romero is visible from the waist down only. There's obviously some
insider joke as to why he's wearing that *lucky* plaid scarf.
